Samurai Champloo

I used to really love this show, I was never really one for anime but I am a sucker for Samurai flicks and this show really managed to bring a fresh take on such a classic genre. One of the other amazing things about this show was the music, instrumental hip hop tracks made up the most of it but they also dabbled in many other genres like trip hop, downtempo and nu-jazz to name a few. Anyway here are all soundtracks from the show, I haven't listened to all the disks yet but Nujabes made a ton of these tracks so I am sure they are great and can't wait to check each one out. Do yourself a favor and grab these, they're perfect for a lazy afternoon or after a hard day when you just want to sit back and burn the day away.

So I just got an email today from my previous boss and they are asking me to come back to work for 2 weeks to help out with some stuff. Its strange because well, they laid me off!! I almost don't want to go back since its just temporary and I was getting used to having the time off but I could really use the money. Anyway, to the point! for the next two weeks things might be moving a little slower here as I won't have the time to listen to as much stuff but don't worry I have some tunes jammed up my pants leg that I have been meaning to post. So while it will slow down a bit I'm still gonna update every day but it might just be one album a day or so. Quality will not decline though as I care more about this blog than I do my job but I dropped my camera today and broke the lens so I have to get some scratch together to buy a new one. Also soon I am going to start posting some artwork and movies that I really enjoy and if you have any artwork that you yourself made and would like me to showcase here I would really enjoy doing so, just send me an email Lakai2788@hotmail.com

New band out of the UK, really nail that kinda lo-fi, electro punk attitude, yet poppy songs sound. Keep your eyes on these guys cause the demos are really great and I could see them getting pretty big in the near future.

This 7" release is being given away as mp3's for free! these are songs that were cut from Bitte Orca which was by far one of the better albums to come out last year but don't let the fact that they were cut fool you. They are playing The Allen Room at Lincoln Center on Feb 19th, so if your in the city go check it out because they really kill it live.
