The Album Leaf
New Album Leaf finally! I haven't gotten a chance to listen to this yet but wanted to get it out to you. I'm really looking forward to laying down with some headphones and pumping this into my headspace.

This is the recording of a radio show they did when, in my opinion they were really in their prime, also its all acoustic which really showcases the raw emotion their songs contained. This short but wonderful show has an amazingly powerful version of my favorite cover they have ever played, Thin Lizzy's "dancing in the moonlight". I also just remembered that I have a compilation of acoustic pumpkins tracks that my good friend Chris made for me years ago so once I can locate the cd I'll up that as well.

I know I've been posting a lot of despondent sounding tunes lately, just the mood I'm in I guess but anyway let me make it up to you with a really great disco house EP to get your feet moving and to push the cold air away for a bit. This still has a tinge of the dark side but its dancey and like I said I just can't help but post music that relates to how I'm feeling at the moment. Anyway enjoy this little gem, let it's glow wash over you, seep inside, fill you up and allow the melancholy sounds to groove you into the sweaty darkness.

Jesus, It's been forever since I listened to this guy who I used to really love almost just for the sheer weird darkness his music exuded. The tortured soul /depressing factor is what eventually turned me away though and I am sure this one is no different but I am looking forward to listening to this regardless.

Emptying the space of my head is nice, its like the shit pump on an RV, empty that shit out so you can push forward a couple extra miles on this road to anywhere. Just make sure to clean up behind you though, otherwise some poor soul might be cleaning his shoes off.

Joy Division
So I was watching this movie "Wristcutters, A Love Story" and I noticed they were playing a lot of music from bands which had a member(s) commit suicide which I thought was a great little touch. Anyway they used "Love will tear us apart" and I decided I wanted to post the EP but then figured most people probably have it so this is for the people who never got into Joy Division. It's a nice little smattering of their more popular songs perfect for a beginner and highly recommended, plus tonight just seemed like one of those nights to put this on.
