VA-Spaced Out Jazz
More spacey jazz than spaced-out jazz -- a cool collection of mellow groovers that draw from a range of soulful styles from the 60s and 70s! Some cuts are electric, others more acoustic -- and sounds shift from spiritual jazz to fusion-based -- but always with the right sort of laidback approach to fit the spacey promise of the title! You may know some artists here from their more upbeat work, but the set focuses on mellower cuts throughout -- with lots of great keyboard bits and jazzy instrumentation, plus a bit of vocals as well. Gone for a few days

The Crepes
Finally came across this. Enjoy!"Lissvik of Piccadilly Swedish Balearic favourites Studio and Lindson o f Embassy have joined forces as The Crêpes and created "What Else?", a wonderful album of summery guitar-based pop songs. The album was completed in eight days, which in some lesser songwriters / musicians hands would have resulted in half-baked ideas and poor execution, but with Lissvik and Lindson at the healm comes across as simple and spontaneous. There's a C86 / Pastels-style gentleness about the music here, while Balearic heads need look no further than the beautiful acoustic cut "Cas-sette" for their fix.
