Twin Sister
I saw Twin Sister once opening for Toro Y Moi, I had never heard of them before so was a bit weary about the many many people on the crowded stage since sometimes it creates an unpleasant cacophony of noise. Much to my enjoyment though they were absolutely wonderful and played a really great show so I've been dying to get my hands on some of their material. Anyway, for two week they're giving away for free their EP Color Your Life

By far one of the best and most promising newer acts to hit the scene in a while, I know this came out a little while ago but I just love this track along with the whole EP. I saw them a while back with Washed Out and it is up there as one of my favorite shows of the year so far, the energy during their set was off the charts and they nailed their songs. When they came out to play with Washed Out the place went nuts, they added this wonderful layer to the songs and just made it an all around perfect show, I really hope they do some more stuff together in the future.

So as some of you who have been following this blog for a while may know, I am a huge Delorean fan and since their first EP I have said they are the band to watch. Their new album Subiza will be coming out on April 20th and it's really great, filled with all sorts of feel good, epic, popness, dripping with gloriously soaring snyths. I do have to say though that upon first listen I still kind of like their older material a little better, the songs on the new album are a little more laid back and don't have the same feeling of urgency as their older work but it's still a nicely polished enjoyable release. Here is the video for the first single "Stay Close"
